What is the Dairy Consulting Experience?

The Dairy Consulting Experience (DCE) is world-class program for the most elite undergraduate dairy students. Through the Dairy Consulting Experience, you will learn what it means to be a successful consultant on the world’s most progressive dairies. You will engage directly with URUS’ experts and practitioners that influence hundreds of thousands of cows around the world. Through a mix of classroom and on-farm learning, you will learn how to understand and apply theories to real world challenges and get to know our passionate team of advisors and our businesses for future career opportunities. Throughout the week students will participate in case studies and present their findings to our panels of experts. Throughout the week students will compete for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship.

Learn

Work with experts on dairy record analysis, reproduction, genetics, calves and conditions that impact herd performance.

Compete

Collaborate as teams to evaluate and analyze real-world dairies through a mix of classroom and on-farm learning.

Expand

Network with industry leaders from URUS companies: Alta, GENEX, VAS, PEAK, and SCCL. Students will gain real‑world experience from hands-on programs and industry expert interactions.

2024 Dairy Consulting Experience

The 2024 Dairy Consulting Experience will be held January 8th-12th in Madison, WI. The week will consist of sessions will be led by our companies’ top scientists and practitioners on topics relating to genetics, reproduction, calves, & data. These experts are world renown for their expertise. They have researched and implemented their topics on the largest, forward-thinking dairies in the world. All expenses for this event will be covered by URUS.

Application Process

• Applications will be open until November 17th.

• Finalists will be notified that they are moving to the final round of the application process on November 20th.

• Participants will be notified of their acceptance into the program by December 4th.
